As you may have heard, the professional publishing course at Stanford University, decided to close last fall. The Exceptional Women in Publishing (formerly WIPP) was a long-time partner with this professional publishing courseand and is pleased that Yale University has decided to carry on the mission to train emerging leaders in the book, magazine, and online publishing industry.
We will continue to partner with the newly launched Yale Publishing Course and its director, Tina C. Weiner, and strongly encourage you to participate in this important educational experience.
The inaugural session of the Yale Publishing Course will take place July 18-23, 2010, under the theme: "Leadership Strategies in a Time of Transition." This intensive program has attracted a top-notch field of advisers and speakers from all corners of publishing. Each one plans to address relevant dilemmas we face every day.
EWIP urges our members who are interested, to apply for this week-long course. All EWIP members are eligible for a 10% discount on the tuition for the course.
The Yale Publishing Course is dedicated to equipping publishing professionals with the skills they need to lead their organizations during a time of accelerating transition to an increasingly global, digital environment. The course will take place on the Yale campus and will be limited to 80 participants.
