Exceptional Women in Publishing (EWIP)

EWIP (formerly called Women in Periodical Publishing) was founded by five women who felt the need for a national organization that addressed the leadership aspirations of women in magazine publishing. EWIP was formed with two goals in mind: to educate, empower and support women in publishing and to educate, empower and support women through the power of publishing.

EWIP is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization run by volunteers. Dedicated to helping women in publishing support each other, develop leadership skills, balance professional and personal interests. EWIP strives to foster growth for smaller, independent publications by and for women and offers a range of community building and professional development programs through its gatherings, online communications, advocacy, mentoring and research.

EWIP has built a strong and diverse community through regional events, social networking, the honoring of exceptional women in publishing with the EWIP award, and the Women's Leadership Conference.
