Position for Experienced Ad Sales PersonSelling print and digital integrated packages for high tech magazine. Home based but must be willing to travel and spend significant time face-to-face with clients. Territory is Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico (with a few clients in other Western States). B2B, particularly high tech is preferred. The candidate must not be black and white but instead be able to try new things. They must be comfortable with shades of gray, be flexible, work collaboratively with the sales team and contribute towards the success of the organization.
- Excellent communication skills and advanced knowledge of sales techniques
- Creative and analytic for persuasive verbal and written presentations.
- Good organizational and time management skills. Good at reporting sales progress
- Ability to concentrate on multiple priorities under deadline pressure
- Demonstrated success at achieving sales goals.
- Ability to understand basic technology and terminology of industry.
- Computer and internet savvy, skilled in Microsoft Office Suite of products and contact management software
- Four year degree or equivalent experience in marketing and business communication

WANTED: New President for The Women's Media Center in NYCThe Women's Media Center (WMC) is a national, non-partisan, non-profit, progressive women's media organization based in New York City. It was founded in 2005 and its mission is to make women and issues of importance to women visible and powerful in the media. The WMC monitors and acts to rectify the absence or unfair reporting of women, pitches stories to both new and old media, trains media spokeswomen, and maintains a website and hosts a blog, The Majority Post, that hotlinks to other important resources and also assigns and publish original stories. Its Progressive Women’s Voices program is recruiting, preparing, and pitching the next generation of leading women media commentators and its Shesource database of over 500 women issue experts provides bookers with a ready source of women for their programming.
