Joyce Hoelzle Joins WIPP Board"I'm really looking forward to being a member of the WIPP Board, helping to chart the course of this fledgling organization." Joyce Hoelzle says.
Joyce Hoelzle is a Circulation Manager with Fawcette Technical Publications in Palo Alto, California. She currently manages Visual Studio Magazine, a technical publication for software developers. Prior to joining FTP, Joyce worked on two gaming titles at Computec Media USA. In addition to her circulation and publishing background, Joyce has experience in international business. During her three year stint with the U.S. & Foreign Commercial Service at the U.S. Consulate General in Dusseldorf, Germany, she helped U.S. companies gain entry into the German market. She holds a bachelors degree from Boston University and speaks German and Spanish.
We welcome Joyce to Women in Periodical Publishing and look forward to working with such a talented and experienced member of our publishing community.

IWMF Workshop to Be Held in San FranciscoForty women journalists in the news media will have an opportunity to attend a one-day workshop at the San Francisco Chronicle on Thursday, June 27.
Women Reaching for the Top: Initiatives for Media Leadership has been developed in response to requests from women in the U.S. news media for more opportunities to develop leadership skills and learn from colleagues. The agenda will include topics such as communications skills and managing relationships, conflict resolution and negotiation, assertiveness and self- promotion and career development. The program also includes a luncheon panel discussion with top women in the media on strategies for success.
The workshop is open to those working in the Bay area and Sacramento. There is an application process but no fee to attend.
