The second annual WIPP Women’s Leadership Conference plans are underway and we’d like to share some decisions with you.
The City: San Francisco is a great place to visit, even for those of us who live in the Bay Area.
The Date: Friday, January 29, 2010. Please save the date. The weather is mild, may be wet, but compared to the rest of the U.S. January is wonderful in Northern California.
The Venue: The Westin Market Street, at 50 Third Street is steps away from the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Contemporary Jewish Museum, Union Square and many tempting shopping and dining experiences.
The Tone: We received a lot of positive feedback about last year’s conference which gave us the confidence to do it again. "Alix Kennedy’s speech literally brought the room to its feet. Her message–to ‘question orthodoxies’ and ‘maintain your authenticity’—was an empowering one to a room full of women who have stepped into or are growing into leadership status.” says WIPP President, Linda Ruth.
The Volunteers: We produce the conference with an all-volunteer staff. We will be looking for volunteers who are passionate about creating a world-class conference that educates, inspires, and strengthens relationships. If you’re interested, please contact Thea or call her at 415-773-1841.
