Dorothy Kalins, An Exceptional Woman2010 Exceptional Woman in Publishing
Women in Periodical Publishing will present the 2010 Exceptional Woman in Publishing award at the conference to Dorothy Kalins. Ms. Kalins has been widely recognized for her editorial leadership and for her many contributions to the publishing industry. We proudly add her to wipp's list of previous recipients of the EWIP award: Gloria Steinem, Bonnie Krueger, Ardie and Marie Rodale, and Alix Kennedy. All of these women are exceptional in our book!

Speed Coaching Sessions – New this year!You have heard of speed dating. Well this goes one better–it's actually worth your time! Conference attendees can schedule a personal 20-minutes session with one of the certified life and career coaches available during the conference to work through a specific challenge or opportunity you may be facing. Bios on the coaches and sign-up information will be available in early January. This is just one of the innovations at this year’s conference to help you reach your career potential. Register now

Wipp's Wine Tasting Event is Open to Bay Area Media GroupsThe wipp conference closes with a wine and chocolate tasting at the spectacular designer showroom of Arclinea, directly across the street from The Westin. This year the after-conference tastings are open to everyone from the many Bay Area publishing and media groups! So spread the word, your friends and colleagues are welcome to come feel the warm glow our our energy and taste something very special.
When: January 29, 2010, 5:30 pm -7:00 pm
Cost: Free to conference attendees – $10 for those not attending the daytime event

If you are a photographer or videographer and willing to help us document this event, please contact Claudia at jobs@wipp.net. We also need a dozen people with editing and/or writing experience, Web and print production design skills, and a several helpers who just need to show up with a pleasant smile and help us with registration.
