On Monday, September 24th, WIPP will be presenting the Exceptional Woman in Publishing Award at the 9th Annual award breakfast at Folio:Show at the Marriott Marquis in New York City. This year’s recipient is Phyllis Hoffman, President and CEO of Hoffman Media, LLC.

WIPP is known for its annual recognition of an Exceptional Woman in Publishing, but now reaches out to honor those women who have created opportunities for other women. This award was developed specifically to recognize an extraordinary mentor in the field of circulation. On June 15th, WIPP presented the first Circulation Mentor Award in New York City at the Circulation Management Conference & Expo to Carol Ireland, President of Quality Circulation Services.

Carole Ireland’s career in magazine publishing spans thirty years. Carole launched Quality Circulation Services in 1989. Prior to QCS, Carole served in upper circulation management positions in three major publishing companies: Morgan-Grampian, BPI Communications and Lebhar-Friedman. Carole is a frequent speaker at industry events and a regular contributor to Circulation Management magazine.
